"We, the people of South Africa, Recognise the injustices of our past; Honour those who suffered for justice and freedom in our land; Respect those who have worked to build and develop our country; and Believe that South Africa belongs to all who live in it, united in our diversity.” Preamble to the Constitution of the Republic of South Africa.

SA in bed with Tyranical Dictator

How can the South Africa government even think of bailing out the government of Swaziland to the tune of R2,5 billion when they have such a poor track record.  Both the African Development Bank and the International Monetary Fund have refused financially assit Swaziland as they say they country’s civil service wage bill is a staggering 18% of GDP – this means that Swaziland is officially Africa’s most bloated bureaucracy
The King of Swaziland and his 13 wives live in opulent luxury, while most of his people suffer in poverty. It is reported that he has a personal fortune of around R1,5 billion. Why then does he not bail out his own country?
King Mswathi has received international condemnation for his economic mismanagement and violent suppression of political protests. If South Africa is hell-bent on lending this exorbitant amount to Swaziland it should be with some stiff conditions, namely that the king should cut high government salaries and lift the ban on political parties.
My heart bleeds for the people of Swaziland who are forced to live under the oppression of a tyrannical dictator who does not care for the people of his country and receives no criticism for this from his neighbours.
