If current proposals at the Municipal Demarcation Board are successful, we could see the Buffalo City Metropolitan Municipalities’ size grow further but having outlying (non-rate paying) villages incorporated into our boundaries. At current, the institution of BCMM is a beast that is proving difficult to tame, and increasing its size would simply exacerbate the situation. Where would the money and manpower come from to provide services in these areas?
